AND TRAINING OF CHARACTER
The topic
‘Education and training of character’ is far beyond with respect to Pakistan. Here
in our country the ‘might is right’ is very prevalent. We cannot say with any
certain belief that we are following good lines. In other words, if we take its
sense what is real? I think everyone has his own view about education.
The word’
acumen’ means penetration but most of trainers and teachers of recent times,
not all almost, know a little about the significance of word.
Why is it so? Have not you thought about its
reasons? Did you feel its need or I think took it for granted.
A trainer
or a teacher is not only a man holding books and syllabus in his/her hands. No, it is not in any sense of word.
Then the query is unresolved. What may be the solution of these unpaved
patterns of education in Pakistan? We are confronted with this calamity for
many years. We are opening institutions but we have no policy. If we have any
policy it is imitated from foreign sources.
This work
of imitation and cut, copy and paste is very favorable activity in Pakistan.
Everyone is after the habit of copying some foreign author. What is the difference between our
mode of thought and foreigners? We actually never attempted to create our own
method we are afraid that it would be wrong. Would you like to say what a wrong
doing is really? Define first ‘wrong’ what will be the meaning? Wrong means
wide of the mark and this is according to the actual sense. If you have
anything wide of your mark you may make it right.
By
mistakes we learn wisdom and by facing dangers we learn courage. If once you
make it and it has disturbance you must try another you will get it I assure
you. If you have not
worked hard in your life and preferred money stances you should not try to be
in making right the wrong.
It is
because of your tendency to go towards covetous and stuffing. But teaching is a
sacred passion. We get much in the sense of goodness and not in greatness. By
goodness we are close to heart and by greatness we are close to wealth. We have
to sacrificing even our comfort and person. It takes time to make a character
of your under. When I say my under I mean my students.
Teaching
is a thankless job many are of this saying. But they are attached to it as
well. Why is it that they are in it? They find some solace and mental
satisfaction. It has been prophets’ occupation to educate people. How wondrous
it is that somebody aspires to take up the liability.
There are
many other feelings inclusive with education. It is that teacher should be soft
spoken, well mannered, sympathetic and sensible. There are many types I this
lineage. If one loves the loaf of wealth, he
will like to accommodate himself in high circles. I want to say that he will
teach in high and upper society. He is such a teacher who is only after wealth
of others. He is none the other but
stuffer of lust only. Such a glutton of belly will satisfy his appetite. He
will ultimately wish to have good standard of life in some posh areas. He will
invite rich men and women in his high tea. He will show his work of excellence
and bray his logs. He is actually a boaster and nothing else.
Second
type is a simpleton teacher. He lives in lower area. He is respected in limited
circles. He earns low respect. He teaches poor boys and girls who are either
not more paying. After sometime these low strata students get job somewhere and
with the pace of time forget their teacher who was favored once.
But on the
other hand, the former type is online with the rich society and is benefitted
with gifts and other pursuits. Why is it that happens? You would be pondering
over the matter that a teacher is an opportunist and he is well-off. A teacher
is living in Low Street. Students do respect teachers very much. According to
them it is equal that they see all teachers on the same pedestal.
But the
trainer or teacher who wins their heart is one who craves students’ success. He
is selfless, sacrificing, never asks in compensation the loaf of bread. All that he gets is imbibed with
good intensions and welfare of his
students. His kith and kin are his students. His whole world is community full
of his trainees. He likes to be in their company. His spiritual relation with
his disciples is fast with passage of time. He is such a teacher who lives in
their memory. The students recall teachers who are well-wisher and path finder.
HEC
Commission is allowing every capitalist to open college in the name of money
making profits. Lahore Board of Education, Technical Board and Recognized
Universities are allotting affiliations for nothing. They are grooming education in terms
of development, management, and administration and information technology. But they are exploiting poor people with
heavily charged fees. It is another that they receive fees from rich people and
it is justified also because they can pay it. A teacher gets not a lion’s share
from the fees the institute is depositing but all in vain to advocate the
matter.
Is it vain
to say all advice to people of Pakistan who don’t pay attention to education?
It is need of the hour to spread education from door to door. Free Educational
Plan Program can change the scene in all ways. A major part of population lives
in villages. They are all away from education. It is low provision of schools
in the villages. The rate of payment is low and nobody is ready.
Dearness
is another curse that enhances the living style problems. It demands some emotional attachment
and frenzy to develop education in countryside. A teacher is a man of passions.
He is a pulse global. But it is sorry to say that none of us is so wisely and
brave heart to act on real grounds.
