Art Life Literature

Art Life Literature
Art of life is easy or uneasy but it depends on the man. It is often observed that some of us but most of us think that life is pack of thorns and nothing else. How is it so? We may call life a pack of thorns without any proof. Let us see what lies in the depth. It is thought that we are men of stuff. We are made of flesh, blood and bones. We have some thoughts and worries. We have some entanglements and tangibles and delicacies. Mundane pleasures are centre of human beings. Spiritual values are also very significant.
Legitimacy in life has high value. The real art lies in fair play. Literature is reflection of real life. Art, literature and life are mutually combined in one way. They are prone and throng in a single chord.  We cannot study literature without art and life. The historical perspective of our past heroes is replete with many patterns. Literature is consigned with many stories of these heroes. Many great dramatists, poets, novelists, essayists and short story writers have great works of art and literature. Shakespeare in drama, Fielding in novel, Chaucer in poetry and Bacon in essay-writing are marvelous and unforgettable characters. They have painted life with real brush. Chaucer’s work of poetry, in special, is a verdict and judgment of real life.
The ability and technique found in Chaucerian poetry is a landmark vision. He has great panorama of life through his works. Whatever he saw he painted as it is. We do not find any exaggeration in his poetry. He does not look to be critical but leaves on his reader to decide what he is reading. His prologue to Canterbury is an exemplary piece of art. Like a real artist he has exposed true picture of life. The characters like prioress, wife of Bath and knight are ever lasting. His travelogue to the holy place helps the reader to have a complete view of society of that age.
Shakespeare, hallmark in the world of drama, has high pedestal in English history. His works are advised to study life as regarded human characters. He is a master of presenting all kinds of human beings on stage. Either he is putting in action a man or a woman; he is perfectly apt in it or an old man in a clownish robe. Dr. Jonson in ‘Preface to Shakespeare’ has admired his art of characterization. His handling of three unities is also artistic. His dramatic technique works and plans with unity of action, place and time. In most of his dramas like Hamlet he has done well. The way in which he offers us the stream of life is very elegant. His clownish characters have handful sense of humor. It is said that Shakespeare is in himself behind these clowns and criticizes the desired ones. The characters of Voila, Molvolio, Ophelia, Hamlet, Gertrude, King Lear and Macbeth are memorable figures of speech.
Shakespeare has also written poetry. They are as well pieces of life. ‘All the world is a stage’ is a beautiful sonnet in poetry that describes life with its possible stages. A man is a child; he grooms into youth and becomes old. He has some peculiarities of every age. All this is evident in the sonnet. Shakespeare is a true attributer of almost all qualities of life. He is very appropriate in presenting erratic attitude of some characters. In ‘Twelfth Night’ he masterly enacts his characters. ‘Tempest’ is another artistic work that heightens our praise for the dramatist.
Fielding, an epic writer, is a king of world of novel. He himself observes life at close quarters. His novels are private mirrors. We can see our view in their reading. His novels are source of correcting the society. His Parson Adam is holy man but full with human sympathy and compassion. He wants to help every troubled creature. His heart is full with ethics and religious sermons. Lady Booby and Miss Slipslop with Fanny are contrasted characters. The both formers want to entertain themselves with petty wishes. They are hypocrites and vain glorious part of social chronicles. Pamela is also vain female who pretends to be noble. She shows that she is gentle and holy in her attire. She is exposed when prince overwhelms her puberty and she openly allows him. She actually enjoys his amorous love making. But in earlier she ignores his trappings and suddenly starts pampering him. Fielding displays that such characters live with us in society. We meet them but with little focus. In his novels we can have a complete insight and introspective study.
Art assists us to seek depth of life. We learn how to tackle all moral, social, economic, political and ethical norms. In these pieces or arts as in music, painting, sculpture and poetry we are confronted with a multitude of life. Francis Bacon in his essays almost describes all facets of life. He has expressed life formulae in an elegant way.
Everyone must learn the art of living. It is essential aspect that man should be equipped with serenity and acumen. It is not only that study of literature is the epitome of whole life. No, it is not so the consequence but there is many other arts left unseen all around us. We spend our fixed time and walk away to the unknown world. But this saying ‘the unknown world’ is not an unknown fact in world of Islam. Even it exists in Christianity. Well, then, what would be the art of life? The human brain is a pack of makings and manufacturing machine. It creates many ideas and within no time breaks them as well.
Brain is a very complicated place in the human body. In some cases, it is observed that it makes concocted shapes and images. It is a self machine that can do any work if it is in its own way. Neurosurgeons are very amazed at its working. It is in puzzle shape. How does it work looks impossible to know? It has a network; a linked network- interlinked every nerve with one another.
Another heart is full of wishes and wants. If a man wishes for something but he is not after it in full sense of the word he is chaotic. Incomplete wishes and wants make him frustrated and shallow. More complications start when the mingling of heart is with brain meanderings. In one way, brain thinks and on the other hand, heart wishes. Both theses mutually exclusive factors can make good art. The real secret behind these two is control. Heart or brain, both masters, depends upon each other. If this might be the condition that brain would wish and heart would think and it may not be possible. Everyone does his business well. It is also’ a jack of trades is master of none’. Brain suits thinking while heart is with wishing life patterns. We were discussing control of heart and brain. In some sense, we can name it use of two. But how can we use them, even we do not know surroundings. Now we are confronted with use of them. Understanding the use of heart and brain is related with knowledge.
We can discuss it in a way if we are educated. But only the aspect of education cannot solve this mystery. Thus, we mix it with training of character. Education and training of character are essential for upbringing of heart as well as brain. It is also a fact that Satan is in empty brains and wishes’ flow take one with. With the enlightened awareness we can handle the situation in a better way. This is possible only if we are balanced and equipped with knowledge of books. Perception is also companion of conscientious that we are gifted with by heavenly powers.
Man is mortal and every being is well aware of it. Homo specie is also a pack of many other powers as called spiritual values. Many great writers and dramatists have shown the play of moral and spiritual values in their work. S. T. Coleridge was excellent painter of spirits. In his poetic works he masterly gives details to the wedding guest of those persons who become alive in moonlight but they are dead in daylight. The cold winter nights in full moon are excellently described by him. The fear and fret felt in cold atmosphere is at his height with Coleridge.
Spiritual aspect is necessary for real understanding of life values. Art of life is disturbed and dispersed when we do not know the reason behind problems. God’s help and His angels are great proof of victory for leading balanced life- great art. It is admitted that all values contribute in life. Not only single value helps us on the way. But a full loaded package aid in it. We should not miss manners as well. It goes without saying that they are vulnerable. Many great men with their lineage came to preach high moral and spiritual manners. It is because that soul has fast approach to angelic abode and contacts all senses and intuitive faculty. Mannerism is an institution in itself. Real art of life lies in manners. Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Joseph, Moses, David, Solomon, Jesus Christ and the Beloved Holy Prophet S.A.W preached God’s message and manners. All prophets were sacred and holy in working. Pathfinder can only foretell the real secret of art of life. They gave us what they were for sent in the world. Almost all ways of passing balanced life is found in their teachings.
Unfortunately, we have not their company now. What would be then when it is not possible? From where we may find the source to follow life patterns set by the dignities and self-esteemed personalities. It is lucky that we have their Lineage in this era. They are called mystics. A mystic is a saint who worships one God. Even for the sake of his prayers and intimation of God he becomes hermit. Mountains, deserted places, jungles and lonely abodes are their residents. Meditation is their cult. They are very happy and satisfied when they are alone. Worldly mundane are not part of their whereabouts. They take up what is needed for living and not stuffing their safe with extra wealth. They trust God that He is Sustainer and Helper in this world and hereafter. Their creed on God is very strong and their approach is sublimated.  After sometime, they consign a great deal of closeness and intimacy to Godly powers. Everything is mortal in their eyes.
Aldus Huxley is of the view that there are only three issues in the universe. They are sex, science and religion. We are at war with these issues in one time. Our life style is affected sometime and we get desperate. Our dismal point of view makes us more troubled and thwarted. We do not find any solution and become shaky. In spite of the fact that all past teachings, trainings, instructions and morals are available. We can distinguish between good and bad. But what is needed? We wish that a man might know the reality. A continuous and never ending effort might be possible to know about the answer of this fact. Why are we so in troubled waters?
According to Aldus, the solution of three mentioned issues is available here. Furthermore, Helen Keller says that It is also seeing people see little. She was true in her observation that we do not see our life at close quarters but we only put it off. The notion that only one man is its solution seems right according to Aldus ‘s theory. He says that only a mystic can solve the raising issues of science, sex and religion.
